Pricing
We believe all of our puppies are equally beautiful and valuable. We do not fluctuate pricing based on color or sex.
At this time all of our puppies are priced at $3000
We offer a return family discount of $200
NOTE: unfortunately the state of Idaho now charges a tax for goods (including dogs) sold to residents. This means if you are an Idaho resident a 6% tax will be added to your overall cost ($180). I know, it stinks.
Temperament Testing
We preform temperament testing at 7 weeks of age. We follow the BAB protocol with an outside tester. The videos and forms will be sent to all of our deposit families 24 hrs. before selection day to aid in their decision.
By this time I have taken copious notes on each puppy, evaluated them through many tests and obstacles and post near constantly on our Instagram page for our families to follow along. By seven weeks you and I have a strong sense of who each pup is as an individual. The temperament testing is an added litmus to verify our prior observations.
Puppy selections occur ON selection day.
Selections happen in order of deposits.
Because we put such an emphasis on matching puppy temperaments to the best home for them, we do not allow selections before testing at seven weeks.
WE LEAVE TAILS
The AKC does allow natural tails in the breed standard, though a docked, or natural bob tail is preferred for showing. Natural tails will not be penalized in the show ring.
Tails were historically docked for this breed because they were a working dog who were at risk of having their tail broken under foot while working cattle or running through thick brush on the plains.
We do not breed working line mini Aussies. Our dogs do not have an increased risk of injuring their tails any more than other pet breeds that retain theirs. Tail docking is considered mutilation and is painful and stressful for a tiny newborn puppy. We do not find it necessary or humane.
Pick-Up/Shipping/Transport
Puppies are to be picked up or delivered within 7 days of their "go-home" date.
Failure to do so will incur a $15 daily boarding fee that will be due before pick up.
We are happy to have you come to our home to pick up your new puppy! In order to mitigate any potential germ transfers we will have you meet the puppies and parent dogs in our front yard or entry way.
If you cannot come to us there are several options for delivery. All shipping options will cost variably depending on which you choose.
We deliver!
If you know you will need a delivery option please notify us early so we can book flights for the lowest price possible.
Local Driving
If it is within reasonable driving distance of Idaho Falls (<5hrs. one way), It will be $25/hr. for every hour I am driving total. We will meet at a neutral location.
Flight

If you fly to us we can meet you at the Idaho Falls airport or at the Salt Lake City International Airport.

SLC Airport has an added charge ($200 as it is a 6 hour roundtrip drive for me).

IF you are flying. I need you to communicate with me BEFORE booking your tickets to make sure there will not be an overlap with another client.
I am also happy to deliver via flight travel; bringing your puppy straight to your nearest airport:

There is a $1000 delivery fee if I am flying to you, and you will of course pay for the cost of my flight and cost of puppy travel (Typically about $100 for the airline). We will meet at your preferred airport to transfer your puppy!

We can also recommend a flight nanny if you would like to go that route.
Flight Nanny
We have a flight nanny that is happy to work with us -Thomas "Pets Matter". We have used him personally, and I know several other Breeders who use him with very good results. If you would like to take that route you would work with him directly. The nanny costs have increased and now typically cost about $1200
BOYS VS. GIRLS
I used to have a pretty set differentiating opinion on male vs female dogs. I now firmly believe temperament truly comes down to the individual.
I strongly suggest keeping your mind open to either gender and any color. If you do so, you are much more likely to end up with the exact companion you are looking for.
Are Merles Actually worth more?
There is a great demand for "flashier" dogs, especially in this breed that is know for being so beautiful.This increased demand has caused dangerous and unethical "double merle" breeding. Which results in blind and deaf dogs.
We do not want to promote this destructive practice and are part of a movement to change that. We firmly believe that all of our dogs are equally beautiful. The dog I get the most compliments on is my simple black tri; Archi. Don't underestimate the beauty of any of these puppies.
